Dr. Zhang’s doctoral studies (TU Eindhoven) were focused on the development of off-lattice kinetic Monte Carlo method for modeling reactions in solutions. His first postdoc research was based on developing reactive force field. With his current postdoc position in the group of Electrochemical Materials and Interfaces at DIFFER, he is performing multiscale modeling for designing highly efficient photoelectrode for water splitting.

About CCER

The Center for Computational Energy Research  aims to explore pathways to future energy systems. This is done via computational simulations that complement experimental energy research. The center was founded in 2017 as the result of a joint initiative between the Department of Applied Physics of the Eindhoven University of Technology and NWO Institute DIFFER.
