Dr. Süleyman Er studied theoretical chemistry at Bilkent University in Turkey and obtained his PhD in Physics from the Computational Materials Science Department of University of Twente in the Netherlands. He worked as FOM Young Energy Scientist Fellow, first at the Theoretical Chemistry Group of Harvard University in the USA, and then at the Theoretical Chemistry Group of Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Dr. Er now leads the Autonomous Energy Materials Discovery [AMD] Research Group at DIFFER – Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research and at CCER – Center for Computational Energy Research, at Eindhoven, the high-tech hub of the Netherlands.

About CCER

The Center for Computational Energy Research  aims to explore pathways to future energy systems. This is done via computational simulations that complement experimental energy research. The center was founded in 2017 as the result of a joint initiative between the Department of Applied Physics of the Eindhoven University of Technology and NWO Institute DIFFER.
