Dr. Anja Bieberle-Hütter is leading the group “Electrochemical Materials and Interfaces (EMI)” at the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (DIFFER) in Eindhoven since 2014. She holds a degree of Materials Science & Engineering from the University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, and earned her PhD at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Two years in industry, a Post Doc in the US, and an Oberassistent position at ETH rounded her professional career. Her work combines experiments with modeling & simulations in order to identify the electrochemical and material related limitations at (photo-)electrochemical interfaces. Dr. Bieberle has authored more than 50 publications (h-index 20, almost 2000 citations).

About CCER

The Center for Computational Energy Research  aims to explore pathways to future energy systems. This is done via computational simulations that complement experimental energy research. The center was founded in 2017 as the result of a joint initiative between the Department of Applied Physics of the Eindhoven University of Technology and NWO Institute DIFFER.
