Abstract | In the Wax+ project, we aim to significantly improve the thermal conductivity (TC) of paraffin wax by addition of graphene nano-fillers. This way, the composite is made suitable for fast heat storage. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of pure paraffin showed the influence of branching and polydispersity on the TC. Preliminary results of the research into molecular weight segregation in composites will be discussed. Finally, the collaborations within the larger Wax+ project will be presented.
