This is the niche with a statue of the god Ra-Horakhte
situated above the central entrance of the temple.
The god is represented with the attributes
of both Re (sun disk) and Horus (falcon-head).
Left of the god we see the left part of a double scene,
depicting Ramses II (wearing the so-called Blue Crown)
offering a statuette of the goddess Maat to
Re-Horakhte. In front we see part of an arm, hand and knee
of the second colossal statue from the right. Clearly visible
on the arm is the cartouche bearing Ramesses' throne name:

"Powerful is the justice of Re, the chosen one of Re"
